Driver Partner Agreement
Effective Date: July 2026
This Driver Partner Agreement is entered into between NorthBite Inc. and the Driver Partner (“Driver”).
1. Independent Contractor Relationship
The Driver acknowledges that they are an independent contractor and not an employee of NorthBite Inc.
2. Driver Requirements
Drivers must:
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain legally required vehicle insurance.
- Operate a roadworthy vehicle.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Services
Drivers agree to pick up and deliver orders accepted through the NorthBite Driver App.
4. Compensation
Drivers will receive compensation based on delivery fees, incentives, promotions, and customer tips as outlined in the Driver App.
5. Taxes
Drivers are solely responsible for reporting and remitting applicable taxes and government contributions.
6. Driver Conduct
Drivers shall:
- Treat customers respectfully.
- Deliver orders promptly.
- Maintain food safety standards.
- Refrain from discrimination, harassment, or misconduct.
7. Insurance
Drivers must maintain valid automobile insurance as required by Alberta law.
8. Confidentiality
Drivers shall not disclose confidential information obtained through their relationship with NorthBite.
9. Suspension and Termination
NorthBite may suspend or terminate a Driver’s access to the Platform for violations of this Agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
NorthBite shall not be responsible for losses arising from the Driver’s operation of a vehicle or performance of delivery services.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada.
